Vanessa brings more than two decades of technical leadership, business ownership, and team development to her role as founder of The Reset Center. Her work has always depended on bringing people together, solving complex problems, and turning ideas into practical results.
During her 23-year career in fire alarm system design, Vanessa served as a lead engineer and held NICET Level III certification. She built her own fire alarm drafting company and established engineering departments from the ground up, hiring and training staff, developing streamlined processes, and leading the teams she assembled. Responsible for overseeing every design that moved through her office, she coordinated across technical teams, project managers, clients, and regulatory officials to guide projects through plan approval and field inspection.
Vanessa later brought that same commitment to an elementary school classroom, where she spent five years as a teacher’s assistant. Working closely with children and educators gave her a personal understanding of how attention, relationships, and daily habits shape children’s learning and engagement.
Today, as a Certified Digital Resilience Educator through the Digital Wellness Institute, Vanessa combines her experience in education with the leadership and coordination skills she developed throughout her career. Through The Reset Center, she helps individuals and families build healthier technology habits and create more opportunities for meaningful connection. Her approach is practical, collaborative, and rooted in a clear belief: real life deserves our time and attention.

Having grown up surrounded by technology, Ashlee recognizes both its creative possibilities and the challenges it can bring. As she explains, “While it can be a useful tool, many people have become overly dependent on it. I want to help others build healthier, more balanced relationships with the digital world.”
Ashlee brings that perspective to The Reset Center, alongside an appreciation for art, thoughtful communication, and the purposeful use of technology.
